Speaking at SPARK 2016

Stephanie Ward from Firefly Coaching informed me that SPARK 2016 was looking for speakers for their event in June.

I had never heard of SPARK and I was impressed by this word. So I first looked up the meaning of SPARK and learned that it means “movement”. What impressed me most was that SPARK develops entrepreneurship, in order to empower international, ambitious female entrepreneurs to make the economy better. I was therefore thrilled to share and encourage the business women, by inspiring them with my talk “How to Turn Cold Calling into Warm Calling”.

During this talk I explained to the audience that telephone acquisition has two flavours :

  1. Cold calling
  2. Warm calling

To win this battle, preparation is the key!

Both cold and hot calling acquisition techniques each demand a unique way of getting and/or staying in contact with potential and existing customers. Telephone acquisition can be learned, and once you have learned it, you just have to do it! It is still the quickest and cheapest way to get new clients!
